Jason Ring, The Executive Director of The Manitowoc Area Visitors and Convention Bureau the last 11 years, has announced that he’s leaving to assume a similar position at Two Rivers Main Street.
During his tenure, Ring was able to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the organization quickly and greatly by developing a program to provide, marketing and visitor services to drive tourism in the Manitowoc area including Two Rivers, Mishicot, Valders, Whitelaw and all of Manitowoc County.
In a news release, MAVCB Board Chair Amy Meyer praised Ring for his leadership during and through the pandemic adding “Jason has been invaluable to our organization over the past decade.”
Ring states “I’m incredibly grateful to the Board, The MAVCB Team, the business partners and the visitors I have served in this role.
It has truly been a privilege to give back to the place I made my home 11 years.”
Ring’s resignation is effective July 29th and he’ll assume his new role in Two Rivers August 1st. He’ll be working with the Board to plan the transition to new leadership.
