A teacher in The Two Rivers School District accused of having sexual contact with a student has her preliminary hearing adjourned until next month.
34-year-old Rebecca Kilps of Manitowoc was in court Friday morning accompanied by her defense lawyer.
She’s facing three counts of Sexual Assault of a child by a School Staff Instructional Person.
No specific reason(s) were given however the adjournment was agreed to and granted by the court.
Two Rivers Police received information earlier this year about a teacher (KILPS) who had engaged in sexual contact with a student and initiated an investigation which led to her arrest on May 24th.
Kilps remains free on $10,000 cash bond.
