Bail is set at $150 cash for a 41-year-old Manitowoc man who led officers on an early morning chase through the city’s north side.
Justin M. Bratz is charged with resisting an officer and resisting a traffic officer by failing to stop.
An officer was on patrol around 12:40 a.m. when he saw Bratz’s vehicle traveling west on Albert Drive.
A routine run of his plates came back that they were suspended and that the registered owner of the car was deceased.
Several officers joined in to assist with a short chase.
Bratz’s vehicle finally came to a stop on North 13th Street.
A high-risk traffic stop was set up with weapons drawn.
Officers approached the vehicle, imploring Bratz to exit, but he continued to ignore verbal commands.
Officers eventually broke the front passenger window and removed him from the vehicle.
No one was injured, and there are no conditions of bail.
Bratz remains in the County Jail and is scheduled to return for an initial appearance on September 1st at 10:30 a.m.
