A 24-year-old Manitowoc man is due back in court later this month for a preliminary hearing on a charge of Possessing Child Pornography.
Dylan J. Nessman appeared for his initial hearing Monday where the judge officially informed him of the charge and any potential penalties that could be imposed against him.
Police received a cyber tip in July to an uploaded Child Sexual Assault Material from an IP address at Nessman’s residence in the 1600 block of South 15th Street in Manitowoc.
A search warrant was served where Nessman admitted to searching several internet sites to obtain and share pornographic material in different chatrooms, but said he never manufactured it or had any sexual contact with a minor child.
He remains free on $7000 cash bond with his preliminary hearing, where evidence presented by the prosecution to determine probable cause that the crime was committed, is scheduled for September 28th.
