A detective with the Two Rivers Police Department has graduated from the FBI’s National Academy.
Detective Lieutenant Melissa Wiesner is a graduate of the 283rd session of the Academy and is one of six officers from the TRPD to complete the course.
She is also the first female from the Cool City to graduate.
According to Police Chief Brian Kohlmeier, Wiesner has been with the Two Rivers Police Department for 20 years and oversees the detective bureau, school resource officers, death investigators, and evidence technicians.
Wiesner’s FBI Academy class consisted of 235 law enforcement officers from 49 states and the District of Columbia and included members of law enforcement agencies from twenty-one countries, five military organizations, and five federal and civilian agencies.
