The ribbon was cut this afternoon for the newest addition to the Industrial Park in Manitowoc, the AMMO Inc manufacturing facility.
Ground was broken on the 160,000-square-foot facility only 15 months ago to the day, with NASCAR Hall of Famers and AMMO Inc Board Members Richard Childress and Rusty Wallace on hand.
Fred Wagenhals, the CEO of AMMO Inc. gives credit to employees and said this facility has an ambitious production goal.
“We’ve got a good group of loyal employees,” he told Seehafer News. “Our goal next year is to build one billion rounds of ammunition per year.”
This is not the end of construction at the corner of West Custer and 63rd Streets.
AMMO leaders have stated that if things go well, expansion is definitely an option.
