A former Middle School teacher at Roncalli Catholic Schools, who’s accused of taking inappropriate photos of underage girls in his classroom earlier this year has pled “not guilty” to the charges against him.
36-year-old Gregory Melin of Sheboygan appeared for an arraignment hearing in Manitowoc County Circuit Court earlier this month.
A search of his phone found photos that appeared to be girls in the 7th or 8th grade that were taken without their knowledge.
Melin was arrested June 15th in Sheboygan County where he’s facing additional charges after he was located at a beach in Sheboygan taking photos of several victims ranging in age between 14 and 19.
When questioned by authorities, he admitted to taking the photos and other secret photos on previous occasions.
An October 14th deadline has been set by the court to accept a sentencing offer from the prosecution and a settlement conference with The District Attorney’s Office is scheduled for November 30th.
