The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office says a 53-year-old worker was seriously injured in an industrial accident Tuesday morning in Saukville.
Emergency responders were summoned to Ozaukee County Asphalt Plant at about 11:15 a.m.
A worker delivering oil to be used to make asphalt was sprayed with the hot product when a mechanical failure occurred.
The name of the 53-year-old man from Portage hasn’t been released.
He was airlifted to Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Regional Burn Center in Milwaukee for treatment.
