Nearly all seven eastern Wisconsin counties we cover saw their gas prices fall back below the $4.00 mark over the past week.
According to the AAA Gas Prices Webpage, both Manitowoc and Sheboygan Counties reported declines of 6 cents per gallon of regular fuel down to $3.97 and $3.93 respectively, while Calumet County saw an eight-cent dip to $3.91.
Outagamie County reported the largest descent, down 10 cents to $3.87 with Brown County not far behind, reporting a 9-cent dip to $3.85 per gallon.
Meanwhile, Kewaunee County saw a 7-cent drop to $3.91, and Door County is the only area with fuel averaging above $4.00, sitting at $4.02 following a 4-cent decline.
The state average followed the same trend, dropping 8 cents over the past week to $3.95, while the national average is down 12 cents to $3.92.
When compared to last year, the average price per gallon of fuel in the seven-county area we cover is 82 cents more expensive. Currently, the average is $3.92, compared to $3.11 a year ago.
