Are you ready for some FUN!?!
Manitowoc Public Library’s Trunk or Treat event is almost here! It’s an early-evening of fun and sharing, giggles and laughter, family-friendly excitement and loads of treats! So, grab your costume and get ready to come down to the Library for a night to remember.
Trunk or Treat will be held on Tuesday, October 25, from 5:30-7 PM. Families are welcome to stop by the Briess Parking Lot across the street from the Library. There they’ll find the trunks of an assortment of vehicles from local businesses and local agencies decorated and ready to share treats and information. Not only is this a fantastic chance to collect treats galore, it’s great opportunity for families to learn about these businesses and agencies, and to find out what they have to offer to members of our community. Families that are in need can come and find resources to help them out, as well as receiving treats or small prizes for their children.
Kids and adults alike are encouraged to come dressed-up in their favorite costumes. Representatives from the gathered organizations will be happy to share information about what they do and how community members can take advantage of all that Manitowoc has to offer.
When your family has finished enjoying the trunks and treats outside, come into the Library for more fun with MPL’s Library Creepy Crawl! In case you haven’t heard, the Library Creepy Crawl is a more family-friendly version of last year’s Haunted Library.
The really cool thing about the Library Creepy Crawl is that MPL’s team of Teen Volunteers—aptly named the BOO CREW for this “Creepy” occasion—will be planning, designing, and manning this Halloween event. Teens participating in the Boo Crew are also eligible for Community Service hours for all the prep and assistance that they provide for this spooktacular time. So, Teens can have some Halloween fun AND rack up community service hours in the process.
The Library Creepy Crawl promises thrills, chills, and chuckles for the entire family. Everyone can sneak through the Library to find Halloween surprises around every corner. We will have games, crafts, and treats, as well as a few spooky tricks up our sleeves. You may even encounter a ghost or goblin along the way!
MPL’s Library Creepy Crawl will take place at the same time as Trunk or Treat; 5:30 to 7 PM, Tuesday, October 25. No registration is required for either event. If you would like more information on how to get in on all Halloween Happenings at MPL or know a Teen that would be interested in being a part of the Boo Crew, you can drop by the Youth Department, give us a call at 920-686-3030, or visit our website, www.manitowoclibrary.org, for all the details.
There are so many ways to get in the Halloween Spirit at Manitowoc Public Library. Tell your friends and get your costumes ready. We can’t wait to see you at the Library!
