Manitowoc Lincoln senior runner Mason Gates earned his 3rd FRCC championship last night while leading the Ships to a 5th-place finish in the conference Cross Country Meet at 7 Lakes Golf Course.
Gates toured the 5k course in a winning time of 15 minutes-52 seconds and was accorded 1st team all-conference honors.
Lincoln teammate, Caleb Jatczak, placed 13th to receive 2nd team all-conference.
The Manitowoc girls were 7th in their race, paced by 2nd-team all-conference runner Sarah Bolchen and her 10th-place finish.
Sarah turned in her best time of the season at 20:16.
Notre Dame Academy swept the Boys’ and Girl’s team championships.
Next up is the WIAA Sectional, co-hosted by Manitowoc Lincoln and Lutheran, next Saturday (October 22nd) at Meadow Links Golf Course.
