A school counselor at Manitowoc’s Wilson Middle School has been honored by the Wisconsin School Counselor Association.
Terri Augustine has been recognized as the 2023 Lifetime Achievement Award winner.
This award is meant to recognize school counselors who have spent at least fifteen years in the profession and who exemplify the role of a school counselor as a leader, mentor, and contributor to the lives of students, educators, and the community.
Augustine is described as a “catalyst for the community in her school”.
She has contributed to the Wilson Middle School experience by creating the Where Everyone Belongs orientation program to ensure a smooth transition from Elementary to Middle school.
There are numerous stories of her ability to help children through their tough times, and her impact on the student body is immeasurable.
Terri will officially be recognized in November at the Wisconsin School Counselor Association’s Annual Conference, which takes place in the Wisconsin Dells.
