Sixth District Congressman Glen Grothman, who serves Manitowoc County in Washington D.C., has been elected to serve on the Republican Policy Committee in the 118th Congress.
The Committee, which consists of members from 19 regions across the country, will serve as the Representative in Region 8 which includes Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan.
The Committee is an advisory team to House Republicans in crafting policy priorities and provides a forum for Republican members to discuss legislative proposals.
Grothman said of this opportunity, “I am humbled and honored to bring Wisconsin values and commonsense solutions to the Congressional leadership table by serving as a regional representative to the Republican Policy Committee.”
The local legislator adds “I look forward to helping ease the pain families and businesses are feeling across the country by advancing conservative principles in Washington to bring an end to the multitude of crises facing America under the Biden Administration. Time to get to work.”
