What exactly is the role of a UW-Extension Agent?
Angie Ulness is Manitowoc County’s UW-Extension Ag Educator, and she explained to Seehafer News, “Extension’s mission is to connect people with the University of Wisconsin. Extension teaches, we help lead and serve, and transform lives and communities.”
Ulness says one of their primary goals is to help anyone in the County connect to viable and secure food sources.
“There’s over 700 employees in the University of Wisconsin Extension team, and there’s over 112 of us that are in the Ag institute,” she explained. “We really help more than 200,000 people a year, including youth leaders, neighbors, business, across our six program areas.”
The County’s UW-Extension Office is located at 4319 Expo Drive or you can call (920) 683-4168.
