Today is the day numerous financial institutions in Manitowoc battle it out to see who can raise the most money for the Manitowoc Salvation Army.
Last year’s Battle of the Financials brought in nearly $8,000 and is one of the biggest days for the iconic Red Kettle Campaign locally.
There are seven banks and credit unions participating this year and will have staff outside of Manitowoc businesses.
Holy Family Memorial Credit Union will be ringing bells at Walmart while UnitedOne Credit Union will be at Festival Foods.
Employees from Fox Communities Credit Union will be at Hobby Lobby, while Community First Credit Union will have people manning the kettle outside of Pick N Save.
The Piggly Wiggly kettle will have representatives of Associated Bank, Shoreline Hometown Credit Union will be at Walgreens, and Nicolet National Bank is scheduled to be at Rob’s Family Market.
This is a one-day event, so be sure to support your favorite bank/credit union and the Manitowoc Salvation Army between 9:00 and 5:00 p.m.
