Tuesday night, the Manitowoc County Chamber of Commerce held their 101st annual Dinner and Meeting. This event honors many businesses and individuals in the community. This year, the Joseph P. Schmidt “Speak Up” award was given to David J Diedrich from Investors Community Bank. David spoke to us about what makes this a great place to live.
The Nonprofit Organization of the Year was presented to Hope House, while the Champion of the Year was presented to Jeremiah Novak of Novak’s Service Center. The Cooperation Award was presented to the Manitowoc Youth Sports Complex. Randy Heinzen, who was one of the board members accepting the award. Says he’s ready for warmer weather.
The Large Business or Industry of the Year was presented to Americollect. Then, the Safety, Health, and Wellness Organization of the Year Award was given to Parker Hannifin HPD, which stands for hose production division. The Small Business of the Year award was won by Modern by Megan, a fine jewelry store in downtown Manitowoc. Megan Lawson was overjoyed.
The Young Proffessional of the Year award was presented to Seehafer Broadcasting’s own Terry Stevenson, who gave credit to many people close to him.
The Education Impact Award was presented to Sara Greenwood from the Mishicot Schools. Sara says it’s all about the students
The annual Athena Award to recognize an individual for professional achievement and community service was presented to Just Corrado, a great volunteer in the community.
Over 450 community members and guests were in attendance for the annual dinner and awards ceremony, which was held at the Holiday Inn, in Manitowoc.
