Point Beach State Forest in Two Rivers is offering a unique and healthy way to ring in the new year.
They are inviting the public to join them on a “First Day Hike”, a snowshoe excursion on New Year’s Day from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m.
The three-quarter-of-a-mile excursion will occur along the Swales Nature Trail.
Afterwards, participants are invited to warm up with hot cocoa by the fire in the Nature Center.
Dogs will be allowed on the hike but not inside the Nature Center.
Attendees can meet at The Nature Center prior to 1:00 p.m.
A tracked wheelchair will be made available and you may call ahead to reserve a time slot or for more information.
