About half of the people at Briggs & Stratton’s plant in Wauwatosa will soon be out of a job.
The company sent-out pink slips on Friday.
About 160 workers were given notices.
The union at the plant says that’s 50 percent of the workforce.
Briggs & Stratton says they are making the move to streamline production and shipping costs.
Some of the laid-off workers will be able to apply for other jobs in the company.
