Included in the Wisconsin Governor’s budget is a plan to keep the Brewers in Milwaukee.
Governor Tony Evers said yesterday he wants to spend $290 million on repairs to American Family Field.
However, in order for the repairs to be made, the team would have to extend its lease on the stadium until at least 2043.
Evers says the money for the stadium would come from the state’s budget surplus.
The Brewers begin their spring training workouts tomorrow in Phoenix, Arizona.
Milwaukee will play the Dodgers in its first spring training game on February 25th.
