As we have reported many times, the Manitowoc Public School District is asking residents to approve a $61.7 million referendum this spring.
In a recently released fact sheet, the MPSD noted that if approved, this would allow them to spend $5.2 million above the state-imposed revenue cap in the 2023-24 school year, $11 million the following school year, then $13 million, $15 million, and $17.5 million in the 2027-28 school year.
Citizens with questions on how that money would be used, or anything related to the referendum are invited to voice them during a series of upcoming informational sessions.
The first will be held next Tuesday (February 21st) at Lincoln High School.
The next will be held at Wilson Middle School on March 8th, and the final session will take place in the Central Office Board Room on March 16th.
The District has posted a lot of information on the topic at ManitowocPublicSchools.org/Referendum.
