“Even if it doesn’t look like it, spring is almost here.”
Those are the words of Tom Hartman, co-owner of Hartman’s Town and Country Greenhouse and plant specialist.
During an appearance, Friday on WOMT’s Be My Guest show, Hartman says “The birds are coming back and it’s spring in the greenhouse.”
“We are busy planting every day,” he explained. “It takes a lot to produce our spring crop. We start already about Thanksgiving time, and it keeps ramping up. Every week now gets a little bit busier.”
Tom explained that people are coming in “just to see things green and growing.”
He says for local gardeners once the snow melts spring cleanup can begin.
Regarding fruit trees, those with orchards can start pruning their trees.
