The Manitowoc Police Department is hosting its annual bike auction next month.
This is a chance for the public to view lost or stolen bikes from the past year.
Police Chief Nick Reimer told Seehafer News that it will be held “Saturday, April 22nd, doors open at 8:00 [a.m.]. Auction starts at 9″00 and it’s at the corner of Fleetwood and Waldo, so the public is invited.”
Reimer also revealed that this year will hold much more than just bikes.
“Every few years we offer bigger items, and all the city department heads can put things into the auction,” he explained. “There could be ladders, there could be desks, there could be all kinds of different things rather than just bicycles.”
He also mentions that bike sales are a great way to save money, and some bikes go for almost half the original price.
More updates and reminders will be posted in the weeks leading up to the event, and the full list of items available will also be provided.
