A Manitowoc man caught stealing from Walmart is in even more trouble after he was caught with methamphetamine.
Officers were called to the store at 4115 Calumet Avenue just after 2:15 p.m. Sunday on a report of a theft.
The suspect was located in the parking lot, and when the officer approached him, the 29-year-old man told them, “I know why you are here.”
He followed the officer into the Loss Prevention Office, where he turned over 31 items he failed to pay for, which were estimated to be worth around $270.
A quick check of his record revealed that the man was out on bail.
While being searched at the jail, the suspect was found to be in possession of a baggie containing methamphetamine.
The man is facing charges of Retail Theft and Bail Jumping, each misdemeanor counts, along with Possession of Methamphetamine.
