A fair number of local and area High School Baseball and Softball teams are looking forward to starting their 2023 season this afternoon in what so far has been a cold, wet spring.
The Prep Baseball schedule includes Kewaunee at Manitowoc Lincoln, Valders on the road to play St. Mary Catholic, and Luxemburg-Casco invading Denmark where the Vikings have won back-to-back state championships.
Also, the co-op of Green Bay East and West visits Sheboygan South, Hilbert/Stockbridge has a game at Sheboygan Falls, and Plymouth will host West Bend East.
In Girls Softball this afternoon Manitowoc Lincoln travels to Sheboygan South, Valders has a nonconference game at Kaukauna, Howards Grove plays at Kiel, and the co-op of Sheboygan Falls/Kohler visits Plymouth.
