April is National Volunteer Month, and the American Red Cross is celebrating the millions of people who volunteer to give blood, platelets and plasma during the course of a year.
This month the Red Cross and PEANUTS are joining forces as a reminder that it’s cool to be kind and help save lives.
According to the Green Bay Office of the Red Cross, all who come to give between now and April 23rd will receive an exclusive Red Cross and PEANUTS t-shirt featuring Snoopy as Joe Cool, the coolest beagle in town.
One way to book a time to give is by visiting RedCrossBlood.org.
Upcoming blood donation opportunities include two in Manitowoc and the surrounding area.
They will be held next Monday, April 10th at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church between the hours of 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. and Monday, April 24th at Shoreline Credit Union, 4400 Calumet Avenue from noon until 4:00 p.m.
