The Roncalli Girls Softball team plated 8 runs in the 5th inning to gain control and held off the Stockbridge/Hilbert co-op 13-to-10 Monday afternoon.
Madison Keller, Gretchen Kapic, and Madison Lamers collected 3 hits apiece to lead the Jets offense in their home and season opener.
Roncalli pounded out 15 hits in the nonconference game to support winning pitcher Madison Lamers, who worked six and a third innings and allowed all 10 runs on 9 hits with 11 strikeouts.
Alandra Grenzer suffered the loss.
The Jets return to the diamond this afternoon when they host Kiel in an EWC matchup.
