The City of Manitowoc’s Forestry Division will be hosting its annual Arbor Day Celebration this Friday (April 28th) at 12:30 p.m. at the Manitowoc Senior Center.
The event will consist of celebrating and teaching the importance of trees in our everyday lives.
The public is welcome to attend the event where Mayor Justin Nickels will read the Arbor Day Proclamation, and Silver Creek Nurseries’ Jeff Edgar will give a presentation on trees.
There will also be a ceremonial planting of trees donated by the Izaak Walton League.
Any grade school students that attend will receive a free tree seedling to plant.
