For the first time this season, the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers were swept.
The winless series came in Peoria Illinois, and was completed by the Chiefs with 7-3 and 2-1 victories over the weekend.
In Sunday’s one-run ballgame, the Chiefs plated two runs in the 4th thanks to a two-run blast by Jeremy Rivas off of starting pitcher Joseph Hernandez.
The Rattlers would get a home run of their own in the 6th off the bat of Eduarqui Fernandez but couldn’t muster any more offense, and lost all six games against the Chiefs.
Wisconsin has now lost ten of their last 11 games as they gear up for back-to-back home series.
Starting Tuesday, they will be taking on the South Bend Cubs at Fox Cities Stadium, then, next week the Quad Cities River Bandits will invade the Rattlers’ Appleton home.
