Two men are facing charges after they allegedly stole items from the Manitowoc Walmart and then attempted to return them.
Officers were called to the store on Calumet Avenue just after 12:15 p.m. Friday.
An employee showed the officer a video of the two men entering the store, hiding an estimated $188 worth of merchandise in their clothing, and leaving the store.
The suspects then made their way to a nearby bus stop, where they pulled a Walmart bag from the trash and returned to the store.
Their initial attempt to return the items was denied, but a second attempt was approved.
As of this morning, it is not clear if the men have been apprehended, but charges of Misdemeanor Retail Theft and Retail Fraud have been filed against both men.
