The “second season” for some local and area Girls’ Softball teams begins this afternoon.
Today’s activity in the WIAA Regional Tournament includes Two Rivers at Ripon in a Division-2 matchup while Valders plays host to Sturgeon Bay and Kiel is home for Omro in D’-3 openers.
In Division-4, Howards Grove is hosting Gibraltar/Washington Island and Sheboygan Lutheran travels to Stockbridge/Hilbert.
Meanwhile, tournament pairings are out for Division-1 softball teams.
Despite a very competitive regular season, Manitowoc Lincoln at 11-and-12, received a #10 seed and is on the road to play Slinger for its opener next Tuesday.
Also of area interest, #13 Sheboygan North visits Neenah and the 14 seed Sheboygan South travels to West Bend West.
