A 35-year-old Manitowoc man whose accused of child sexual abuse has his initial court appearance adjourned a second time Tuesday as he continues to retain legal counsel.
Robert L. Curtis The Third is facing charges of Repeated Sexual Abuse of the same child and Possession of Child Pornography.
The court advised Curtis that he has the right to have a court appointed public defender handle his case but he says he’s still considering hiring a private attorney and the court granted the adjournment.
A female minor victim reached out and met with authorities earlier this month and informed them of the inappropriate activity between them that Curtis denied when arrested at his home.
He remains in The County Jail in lieu of $150,000 cash and is due back in court for his initial appearance June 12th at 1:30 p.m.
