Legislation to reduce the impact of road salt on Wisconsin’s waters recently passed an Assembly committee.
State Senator Andre Jacque of De Pere, who co-wrote the proposal, described that there has been an increasing concern for the impact of road salt on our freshwater, due to how easily it can become toxic to the ecosystem.
Jacque mentions that using efficient management practices can save taxpayer money while protecting public safety and freshwater resources.
