The Crossing in Manitowoc has unveiled its new ultrasound technology.
The Crossing has offered ultrasounds for the past 10 years but has recently been able to make this upgrade.
They are the only place in Manitowoc County that can offer this quality of ultrasound, and it’s free. Belinda Esquinas, the Executive Director of The Crossing, describes why they are so excited about the project.
“The clarity and the definition of the image, it is just mind-blowing,” she said. “It is a huge upgrade from the old ultrasound machine and the ultrasound screenings that we were able to provide compared to the new technology and the 3-D technology.”
The Crossing partnered with the Knights of Columbus 710 in Manitowoc to fund the project.
Joe Debilzen, Head of the Knights of Columbus Council, spoke on how they were able to raise money.
“The Crossing is an amazing organization, very life-affirming and very family supportive, so we were proud to lead the effort,” he said. “We raised a little over $49,000, I believe, to support The Crossing between local organizations, individuals, and our national organization.”
The Crossing wants to support and provide their services to anybody who is pregnant even if they are considering or choosing an abortion.
