The Kiel Raiders and Plymouth Panthers are both headed to the state tournament in girls soccer.
The top-seeded Raiders blanked the co-op of Lourdes Academy/Valley Christian of Oshkosh 5-0 to capture the Division-4 Sectional at St. Mary Catholic.
The Panthers, who also had the number-1 seed, outlasted the 2-seed Notre Dame Academy 1-0 in Saturday’s D-3 Sectional final in Green Bay.
Both programs will now prepare for the WIAA State Tournament at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee later this week.
Kiel has the 2nd seed and will oppose #3 seeded Brookfield Academy in the state semifinals Friday night at 7:00, following the opener at 4:30 pitting top-seeded Cedar Grove-Belgium and #4 Lodi.
Meanwhile, Plymouth with the 3-seed faces 2-seed New Berlin Eisenhower at 1:30 Thursday afternoon. T
hat match follows the first game at 11:00 a.m. between #1 Edgewood and 4th-seeded Ashland.
