This summer season, Manitowoc’s S.S. Badger is celebrating her 70th anniversary with a birthday celebration in Ludington this past weekend.
On Saturday, an event held at Maritime Heritage Park in Ludington, Michigan, celebrated the city’s 150th birthday and the 70 years of service the Badger has provided with live music from Road Less Traveled, food and desserts, yard games, and even face paintings.
Ludington Beverage also celebrated its 90th birthday, which warranted a visit from the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales, who were also celebrating their 90th birthday.
The Clydesdales gifted a plaque to the S.S. Badger for her many years of service.
Today, the Budweiser Clydesdales made another appearance at the Manitowoc dock on their way to Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
The Clydesdales’ workforce was unable to comment on the event and respectfully declined an interview.
