Kiel makes its first-ever appearance today in the WIAA State Baseball Tournament in Grand Chute.
The 3rd seeded Raiders, the 2nd place finisher in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference, are scheduled to tangle with St. Croix Falls this afternoon in the first Division-3 semifinal at 2:30.
Kiel was a two-time qualifier in the former summer baseball tournament.
The Saints enter play at Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium with a mark of 25-and-3 while Kiel is 24-and-2.
The 2nd game matches top-seeded Aquinas of La Crosse and the Random Lake Rams, who finished 2nd this spring in the Big East Conference.
Division-4 semifinals are set to take place this morning starting at 9:00.
