Bail is set at $500 cash for a 24-year-old Manitowoc man after allegedly attempting to break into a house last weekend.
Luis A. Rodriguez is facing charges of Stalking, Criminal Damage to Property, Possession of THC, Disorderly Conduct and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
Officers received a call late Sunday evening and upon arrival spoke to the victims one of which was his ex-girlfriend and a guest in the home. She broke it off calling it an “abusive relationship.”
Both women said that Rodriguez demanded that his ex-girlfriend leave the home, calling her derogatory names.
He then allegedly broke a window and that’s when they called the police.
An officer located Rodriguez a short distance away and attempted to flee but was told K9 Riley would be deployed if he did not cooperate. He eventually complied and was booked into The County Jail.
Conditions of bail are that Rodriguez is to have “no contact” with the victims, not possess any weapons and maintain “absolute sobriety.”
He remains in The County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for June 19th at 1:30.
