The State High School Girls Soccer Tournament got underway yesterday with semifinal action in two divisions.
In Division-3, the Plymouth Panthers are on their way to the state finals after a 3-1 decision over New Berlin Eisenhower, and top-seeded Edgewood eliminated Ashland 5-1.
The Panthers battle the Crusaders for a gold ball Saturday morning at 11:00 at Uihlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee.
Kiel makes its 2nd straight appearance in the State D-4 semifinals tonight when the 2nd-seeded Raiders go up against Brookfield Academy in a 7:00 p.m. start.
The first game at 4:30 matches the 1-seed, Cedar Grove-Belgium, and Lodi.
