The Manitowoc Ballet Academy will be holding its grand opening and open house this Friday (June 23rd) from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The studio located at 418 South 29th Street has been fully renovated and will feature a dancewear apparel shop as well as classes.
The dancewear shop will feature everything that any student will need in classes for all ages.
Manitowoc Ballet Academy is a ballet-focused studio but they also provide a variety of different classes for every skill level.
Beth Check, owner of Manitowoc Ballet Academy shared her history in dance as well as what makes her studio different from others in Manitowoc.
Growing up, Beth danced in Manitowoc and after a three-year professional career decided to come back to Manitowoc to teach.
Having worked with professional companies in the past, Beth is able to bring that experience as well as a fresh eye for dance and enthusiasm into her teaching.
She tells Seehafer News, “Our tagline is ‘Excellence In Every Step’, we always want to make sure that the kids are learning the correct way right away so they don’t have to backtrack in Middle School and high school, and if they decide they want a career in dance they don’t have to train even harder for those last couple of years.”
Beth also said, “My whole policy with dance is that anyone can do it, you just have to be ready to take that first step onto the dance floor.”
As well as offering classes for school-aged kids, Manitowoc Ballet Academy offers adult open classes for those who want to continue dancing as adults, or even start.
