The Manitowoc Police Department responded to an incident involving a weapon over the weekend.
According to Lieutenant Nathan Barnes, Manitowoc Police were dispatched to the Southfield Townhouses, located in the 2500 block of South 21st Street, at around 12:45 a.m. Sunday on a family trouble complaint.
The suspect was said to be armed, so officers formed a perimeter before successfully removing the victim and their children from the area.
The suspect was not located initially, but a short time later, a citizen reported that the man had returned.
Several squads responded again, and this time they were able to take the suspect into custody.
Their name, age, and gender were not revealed, but they are said to be facing several charges in relation to the incident.
