The musical legacy of the Schmitt Brothers will be unveiled in downtown Two Rivers this weekend.
The community is invited tomorrow to attend the official dedication of the Schmitt Brothers Stage in revamped Central Park, with ceremonies starting at noon.
The four brothers put Two Rivers on the map when they won the 1951 title of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America.
The schedule tomorrow includes a ribbon-cutting ceremony beginning at 12:00 o’clock, the Schmitt Family Open Mic Show at 1:00, and then a Free Barbershop Harmony Show starting at 2 pm that’ll feature over a dozen award-winning quartets and choruses.
Meanwhile, the newly-renovated “Central Park West 365” will be opened with a day-long party Sunday beginning at noon and continuing through 7:30 pm.
Those in attendance can enjoy food, refreshments, and live music throughout the day.
