The Manitowoc American Legion baseball team starts play this afternoon in the Central Wisconsin Plover Tournament.
Legion Post 88 goes up against Eau Claire at noon in their first of two games today.
They’ll then meet Holmen in a scheduled 5:30 first pitch with two more games on the schedule tomorrow.
Coach Kevin Stangel’s ballclub enters the tourney on a roll, having won 11 in a row.
Meanwhile, sole possession of first place in the Shoreland League is on the line tonight at Manitowoc’s Municipal Field.
The Bandits host the Denmark Devilbears in a 7:30 contest with both teams entering the action at 7-and-1.
