6th District Congressman Glenn Grothman was recently named to a Task Force to Combat Mexican Drug Cartels.
Its goal is to identify how Congress can use its power to stop the heinous crimes of cartels and save American lives from deadly drugs and human trafficking.
Grothman recommends people see the movie “Sound of Freedom” which tackles the topic head-on.
He said the film is a must-watch, “to know what’s going on in this country. To know in our safe community when you think about what Manitowoc County is, but then you look at the underside of what’s going on in this country, and that’s a good movie, a good primer on that issue.”
The Republican representative from eastern Wisconsin noted that “Presently, about 9,000 minors who say when they are coming across they are unaccompanied by an adult. And of course that’s before you consider all the minors coming across who claim they’re with a parent, or an aunt and uncle. And really when you do the DNA testing they are not.”
Grothman added “The Biden Administration has admitted they have lost track of tens of thousands of young people coming across the border with Mexico. Of course that leads to human trafficking and a lot of times is synonymous with prostitution.”
