The trial proceedings for an infamous case in Green Bay begin today.
Numerous prospective jurors will convene in the Brown County Courthouse as the prosecution and Taylor Schabusiness’ defense team look to narrow the field to 15 jurors for Monday’s start of the trial.
Schabusiness is facing charges of 1st Degree Intentional Homicide, Mutilating a Corpse, and 3rd Degree Sexual Assault for the killing, dismembering, and sexual assault of Shad Thyrion in February of last year.
After her arrest, Schabusiness told investigators that she and Thyrion had been using meth at the time of the incident.
The court still has not officially determined if Schabusiness is able to understand the court proceedings and aid in her own defense, but that is also expected to be discussed today in court.
