The Manitowoc Police Department has announced the promotion of one of their officers to a Detective role.
Officer Jason Denk began his new job within the Department last Monday.
He earned the position after working in the department since July 2007.
In a public statement, the Department praised Denk for his “experience in search warrants, subpoenas for smartphones, internet providers, businesses, and residences.”
They also noted that he has “received recognition for thorough investigations, attention to detail in his reports, and a commendation for his courtroom testimony in a double homicide case,” and has trained numerous officers.
His work has also been noticed by those outside of the department, as he was named the 2016 Noon Rotary Officer of the Year.
