The 29-year-old woman who was behind the wheel of the minivan that struck a building in downtown Green Bay causing a partial collapse is now facing charges.
Merissa Reed was arrested on charges of Reckless Driving Causing Great Bodily Harm, Knowingly Operating a Motor Vehicle While Suspended Causing Great Bodily Harm, and Bail Jumping.
Police were dispatched to the crash in the 1200 block of Main Street at around 10:45 Sunday evening after receiving a call about the crash and a partial collapse of the façade of a building.
Reed and her 27-year-old passenger each sustained non-life-threatening injuries in the crash.
Reed told police that a vehicle had cut her off, so she was trying to pass them, but lost control and spun out into the building.
The entire block is now closed off to traffic for cleanup.
