Needy children in Manitowoc County continue to be helped by the Helen Gajdys Reis and Lester Reis Endowment Fund.
With the generosity of contributors to the fund, the endowment’s board of directors was able to donate more than $21,000 last year and in excess of $3,100 dollars so far in 2023.
Thanks to local contributions, over 150 brand-new winter coats were given to area children, bringing the total to more than 1200 coats in the past 7 years.
Contributions were also made to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, Soles For Souls, Domestic Violence Center, Hope House, The Haven, and the Warming Shelter for the Homeless.
