Manitowoc has a whole lot of new things coming to Lincoln Football this season, new players, new offense, and new coaching staff.
While speaking with Manitowoc’s assistant Football coach Ryan Brahm on WOMT Sports Talk, he spoke a lot about the new things coming to Lincoln Football, specifically the new offense Lincoln plans to implement and who it came with, previous Packer player and new offensive line coach, Evan Smith.
“Coach Smith is a real shot in the arm for Lincoln Football,” he said. “That combined with this new offense…I truly think that if our young men perform at the level that I know that they are able to this could be a year that could shock some people.”
Brahm went on to explain how Shipbuilders Football has been affected by this new change, and what he thinks these new implementations will do for Football at Lincoln.
Whether the season is positive or negative, Coach Brahm believes a successful season doesn’t always mean winning.
“In my opinion, it would be reinvigorating the passion for football at Lincoln,” he told co-hosts Brian Norton and Amellia Fowler. “It has kind of dissipated over the past several years, not that anyone is to blame for it, but I think if this team can show excitement, and show how much fun they’re having on the field it might bring that next batch of players to Lincoln.”
Lincoln’s first game will be a non-conference game at home on Friday the 18th against Appleton West.
