The 9th annual Soar on the Shore Kite and Beach Festival will be taking place in Algoma this August.
The Wisconsin Kiters Club will provide stunt kites, giant display kites, and a kite candy drop for kids.
Kiters from competitive stunt teams will perform to music, and some kiters will be available to answer questions and give tips to newcomers.
There will also be a public fly area for people to fly their own kites.
Along with kite activities, there will be crafts for children, street games, a scavenger hunt, and sand toys.
All of this and more will be happening on Crescent Beach and Lake Street in Algoma on Saturday, August 19th from 11a.m. to 4 p.m.
