Elkhart Lake is welcoming Harry’s Pizza e Vino Restaurant and Wine Bar as their first pizza restaurant in their 100+ year history of the town.
On August 22nd, 2023, the restaurant, located at 111 East Rhine Street, will open its doors to service Roman-style pizza, the only certified restaurant in the state to serve that style.
There are only about 50 Roman pizza restaurants in the country as the making of the pizzas is a trained skill.
The owner and head chef Avini (Al) Latifi received his certification at the Roman Pizza Academy in Miami, Florida, alongside his nephew Adrian Latifi, owner of Harry’s Prohibition Bistro in Sheboygan.
The restaurant will be full-service with a saloon-style bar during the peak of the summer tourism season. They will serve dinner with the option to dine in or carry-out from 4:00 – 9:00 pm.
The premier menu will feature only 12-inch personal-size pizzas with a variety of specialty toppings, with multiple signature pizzas.
The newly renovated space, formerly a Subway, can seat up to 50 people.
